摘要
Visual communication design is established as a part of communication science. However, symbols in visual communication design are hard to express by words; thus, audience cannot easily accept and understand them. Hence, communication theory is introduced by designers into visual communication design. This study investigates the application of visual communication design under communication theory. First, it briefly discusses the meaning of visual communication design, the elements of communication, and the links of communication. Then, it proposes some valid methods to improve visual communication design from four aspects. Finally, it analyzes the relationship among designers, media, information, and audience to establish an effective framework theory on visual communication design propagation mode. The results show that this mode can effectively realize the transmission of information and offer a new theory for the study of visual communication design.
