摘要
Nanotechnology is the incredible tool to build any kind of materials stronger with enhanced productivity than those materials of its original form especially in the solid/gas waste treatment, nano based materials (20 to 100 nm) are the key to treat effluents effectively and eco-friendly way due its nano size, high absorbance capacity, easy functionalization, high surface area to volume ratio and reusability. Application of nanotechnology plays a vital role in various phases of oil and gas industry like improving drilling and drilling fluid performance, increasing oil and gas production through Enhanced Oil Recovery, enhancing detection of H2S gas in the working environment and removing the sulphur compounds from crude oil (sour crude to sweet crude) in the petroleum refinery. The current paper reviews recent researches on encountering H2S compounds with nanomaterials in oil and gas industry upstream activities such as drilling, oil and gas production etc. (C) 2021 Elsevier Ltd.
