摘要
(Species of Parmotrema (Parmeliaceae, Ascomycota) of the central-southern coast of Sao Paulo state, Brazil. I. Gyrophoric and lecanoric chemical groups). In a survey of the species pertaining to genera of large parmeliae occurring in the coastal areas of central-southern Sao Paulo state, Brazil, seven species of Parmotrema (foliose thalli with rounded lobes usually more than 0.5 cm wide with nude lower margins) containing gyrophoric and lecanoric acids as main medullar substances were found. These are typically recognized by the red staining calcium hypochlorite spot tests. Identification key, descriptions, comments, and illustrations based on Brazilian material arc provided for these species.
