Wettability Modification of Borosilicate Glass Surface by Excimer Laser Nanostructuring

摘要
Indium thin films (30 nm) were thermally evaporated on excimer laser nanostructured BSG surfaces to look into the effect of substrate surface nanostructuring on the growth of metallic thin films. For excimer laser nanostructuring of BSG surfaces, laser fluence (0.1-2 J/cm(2)) and number of shots (50-500) were varied. BSG surface nanostructuring has been observed to affect the growth of indium thin films and particle size distribution and consequently surface plasmon peaks for Indium has been observed to shift with the pre-treatment laser dressing parameters for the BSG surface.
