摘要
This paper presents a novel guitar-shaped wideband patch antenna with CPW feed line. The proposed antenna uses a modified rectangular patch excited by a 50 Omega CPW line with similar modification in the ground plane. The parametric study is carried out to obtain best return loss by varying dimension of patch and ground. The final antenna shows a simulated impedance bandwidth BW (S-11 < -10 dB) of 4.3 GHz (from 3.3 GHz to 7.6 GHz) which is about 80% for the centre frequency of 5.45 GHz. This antenna gives moderate gain in 2.4 to 9 GHz except near 6.35 GHz suitable for WLAN/WiMAX bands. Best measured S11 of -25.64 dB is obtained at 3.86 GHz with impedance bandwidth of 2.034 GHz.
