摘要
In this paper we present a heuristic supervisory control scheme for jointly controlling the engine and the after-treatment system (EATS) in heavy-duty vehicles. The proposed controller aims at fulfilling emission legislation constraints without penalizing the fluid consumption and the delivered torque. Compared to existing methods, the proposed control scheme is computationally efficient since it does not require the online execution of iterative algorithms as it is typically done for this class of problems. Moreover, it does not require an accurate model identification of the system nor it requires highly skilled personnel for calibrating its parameters, which are two aspects very appealing in an industrial setting. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is evaluated through simulations where a comparison with existing methods is also performed. Copyright (C) 2020 The Authors.
