摘要
We have analyzed the elastic scattering angular distributions data of the alpha+C-12 reaction at 13 MeV in the laboratory system within the framework of the optical model formalism. It is well known that the description of the experimental data at low energies is a long-standing problem of this reaction. In order to overcome this problem, we have modified the shape of the deep real potential in the surface region and have been able to obtain a satisfactory agreement with the experimental data in comparison with the previous works conducted so far. The present work shows that the interactions in the surface region of two nuclei are very important in explaining the scattering observables of such light-heavy reactions.
