摘要
A theoretical and. numerical study of the dynamic buckling of column under axial impact is presented. The analysis includes the effects of transverse shear deformations and geometrical imperfection. The dynamic differential equations of column are obtained by using a Timoshenko-beam theory. The differential equations of column under an axial impact are solved by the finite-difference-method (FDM) and Runge-Kutta method. The Budiansky-Roth criterion is used to justify the buckling of column. The effects of the initial imperfection and the duration of pulse on the bucking mode of column are studied. The effects of column thickness on the bucking mode are also discussed. The corresponding results show that the buckling mode is sensitive to the initial imperfection. The duration of pulse is important to the buckling mode and dynamic critical load. The variety of column thickness has effect on the buckling mode. Other related problems are also discussed.
