Thermodynamic properties and phase equilibria in the Ca-CaO system

摘要
Ca-CaO melts are studied from 1165 to 1723 K and from 1.5 to 10.4 mol % CaO by batch measurements of vapor pressure over them. The lines of melt saturation with calcium oxide were also derived by this method. The activity of calcium is found to deviate to the positive from Raoult's law. The compositional and temperature dependences of the thermodynamic functions of the melt formation in the Ca-CaO system are approximated using a model that accounts for an ordered particle distribution. Based on the thermodynamic characteristics obtained, phase equilibria in the Ca-CaO system are calculated. The results agree well with both the experimentally derived coordinates of the liquidus line and with earlier data on the phase diagram of the system.
