摘要
Reflection is a higher-order metacognitive process that allows a Physician Assistant (PA) to identify and analyze individual challenges in practice, with the purpose of addressing these challenges. The process of reflection allows the PA to develop actionable plans to address the gaps in current knowledge, skills, or attitudes. Reflection is derived from the education psychology theories of reflective practice but has shifted from its theoretic foundations to its common use in healthcare education and practice.
