RENE GIRARD: RED AND WHITE INTERCULTURALITY AND PLURILINGUALISM IN THE HISTORY OF RELIGIONS

In Rene Girard's opinion, the victimizing mechanism of the scapegoat, the ritualistic scenario of sacrificing the emissary-victim, unveils the occulted pole of founding violence, and in this very capacity illustrates the emerging spot, the original moment of the sacred and of religious behavior, as well as the common denominator for all rituals: Bouc emissary designe simultanement l'innocence des victimes, la polarisation collective qui s'effectue contre elles et la finalite collective de cette polarisation. An initial scapegoating anti-topos becomes, on the one hand, a model for mythological memory and ritualistic reproduction retrieving time-liturgical beneficial acts originating in the victim, and, on the other hand, the anti-model for interdictions postulating in the absolute and beyond concession the unrepeatability of gestures that situate the emissary being in a malefic register.
