摘要
This essay moves from the methodological approach of cultural history and describes how Italian liberalism after the unification was culturally and ideologically reluctant to challenge itself with the notion of "political party". This attitude caused the practice of the "partito della maggioranza" to grow stronger, and while leading to the development of anti-parliamentarism caused also a good share of the population to distrust the Liberals.
