摘要
This paper presents a medical image watermarking technique to provide flawless and unique proof of identity of images during transmission and storing in large distributed medical databases. It follows the approach of introducing a watermark having patient identity in singular values of wavelet domain with minimal distortion to the medical information. The proposed system has been tested for different modalities of medical images and has provided reassuring results with good imperceptibility and improved security. The watermark doesn't gets disrupted when the watermarked image is attacked or modified, to address several medical data distribution and management issues like security, content authentication, controlled access retrieval, safe archiving, and captioning.
