摘要：

A single-fed dual-band antenna operating in both X-band (9.8 GHz) and Ka-band (33GHz) is presented in this paper. A unique feature of the proposed antenna is to deploy a self-scalable pattern capable of working in an array environment without exhibiting full grating lobes in visible region. The principle of operation is based on the first and third resonance modes of a narrow slot antenna coupled to three parasitic dipoles. The second resonance mode is suppressed by even-symmetry feeding which also acts as reflector in the third resonance, thus improving the front-to-back ratio (by 7.5 dB) in this work.
