摘要
Iron oxide nanoparticles have attracted worldwide attraction due to extensive applications in spintronic and data storage devices. However, control of synthesis and calcinations temperature is extremely crucial for obtaining the required phase of iron oxide. We here report synthesis of hematite nanoparticles using sol-gel method. The xerogel was dried at 80 degrees C and the obtained powder was calcined in the temperature range 100-300 degrees C. It is observed through XRD results that no phase transition occurs even at high calcination temperature but the magnetic properties are strongly affected by the calcination temperature.
