Effect of temperature and inlet velocity on the flow of a nonNewtonian fluid

摘要
This paper examines the effect of temperature and inlet velocity on the flow of a nonNewtonian fluid, POM. Three viscosity models are used to model the now of POM between two parallel plates. The constants of the three models are obtained from available experimental data. The present results are validated using the fully-developed fRe product obtained from exact solution. The effect of transverse temperature and velocity gradients, viscous dissipation or shear heating are discussed. (C) 2004 Elsevier Science Ltd.
