摘要
This article exposes the first findings of the research entitled: the sense of the common, from social networks to virtual networks in education. The objective of this project is to understand the use of virtual social networks (OLSN) in adolescents between 12 and 16 years, as a space of citizenship. This objective requires, on the one hand, to discuss the theoretical lines of the concept of citizenship and the common, conceived from the commitment and reciprocity between subjects that share a common space. But also, on the other, it is necessary to situate the explosive dynamics of connectivity that impacts adolescents and their use of virtual social networks. The methodological approach has integrated qualitative and quantitative techniques (ethnographic interviews, focus groups, self-reports, content analysis in social virtual networking and questionnaires.) This article only shows the results about semi-structured ethnographic interviews and focus groups. The results show that digital social networks are configured as very powerful spaces for political mobilization but they do not constitute themselves as citizen communities of the political.
