摘要：

Transport subsectors are competing for the limited financial sources therefore analyzing of transport performance could reveal the connection and competition between subsystems of transport sector. Author statistically analyzed the time series of transport performances in Hungary. The major results can be concluded that not only the subsectors (road vs rail) competing with each other as it was assumed previously but with the enlarged scope it was turned out that passenger transport also competing with goods transport by using same infrastructure. These findings are useful and important to rightly priorities between transport policies. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
