Effect of different heat treatments on microstructure and segregation of a nickel base alloy

摘要
The evolution of microstructure and phase segregation of high chromium single grain nickel base superalloys, which combine outstanding high termperature strength with superior environmental resistance, are investigated. Changes were revealed between the different heat treatments regarding dendritic segregation, morphology and the size of the γ′-precipitates. The Figure shows a typical micrograph of γ-γ′-microstructures in an intradendritic area.
