摘要
Michael Posner pioneered the cognitive revolution in psychology, showing how the human mind-brain can be componentially analyzed using subtractive analysis of reaction time. Applying this logic to brain imaging, he subsequently founded the field of human cognitive neuroscience. His work on attention showed how attention could be automatic or controlled, and his techniques for assessing individual differences in attention have been widely applied, including in the study of human development.
