Back analysis of linear and nonlinear deformational behaviors for multiple cross sections in discontinuous rock masses of a large underground power house cavern

摘要
This paper gives a brief summary of a back analysis procedure applied for characterization of deformational mechanism of discontinuous rock mass of a large underground powerhosue cavern. The method employed is capable of isolating the deformational characteristics due to nonelastic movements along rock joints. The back analysis is conducted for three cross sections for which displacements were measured and their behaviors are compared.
