Analysis on dielectric recovery characteristics of 500kV 1-Break SF6 circuit breaker

摘要
In development of extreme high voltage SF6 circuit breaker, the most important problem to be investigated is the dielectric recovery characteristic, which mainly depends on the electric field distribution and SF6 gas flow state in arc quenching chamber during the opening process. In this paper, the combined mathematical model of the electric field, flow field and turbulent flow has been established. For calculating the flow-field, a new method combined improved Total Variation Diminish scheme (TVD) with Finite Volume Method (FVM) has been developed. The time variant electric field and flow field is solved so that the dielectric recovery characteristic of 500kV 1-break SF6 circuit breaker with different nozzle structure is investigated. The taboo search optimization algorithm has been improved and applied in optimizing the electric field distribution for improving the dielectric recovery characteristic. As the simulation of all above-mentioned research, the visualization of whole computation course in the 500kV 1-break SF6 circuit breaker is accomplished.
