摘要
Numerical methods for solute transport in soil are shown in the present paper. The solute transport model is expressed by the Convective-Dispersion Equation (CDE). The property of this equation changes from parabolic to hyperbolic and vice versa depending on time and location. In the case of large advection, most numerical methods cause numerical oscillation or large damping. Numerical methods that provide sufficient accuracy for this problem are required. We simulate solute transport using four numerical methods including the Cubic-Interpolated Pseudo-Particle/Propagation (CIP) method. And the accuracies of those numerical solutions are evaluated based on the maximal errors and the bum squared errors in four cases: large dispersion, large advection, Gaussian hill and triangle hill. As a result, the CIP method is found to have better overall accuracy.
