When needs analysis suggests training is appropriate, why doesn't the performance problem go away after training? Too often this is the norm when we examine the training field. The amount of training delivered is not slowing, yet the application of skills gained in training is not growing. Thus, training and increased productivity do not necessarily go hand in hand. Becoming familiar with transfer of training can shed some light on this dilemma. We must begin making the transfer process work in order to increase organizational performance.
