摘要
A rectangular lattice of high dielectric rectangular rods in air is used to achieve canalization for subwavelength focusing. At the working frequency, the equifrequency curve of the dielectric photonic crystal is split into two very straight parallel lines in the entire first Brillouin zone. To increase greatly the transmission, the size of the rods on the interface layers is adjusted appropriately, while the thickness of the slab can be arbitrary. A slab of such a photonic crystal can transfer subwavelength focusing to a far distance even if moderate material loss exists.
