摘要
A reservoir mounted on the rear of a two-chamber cylinder, together with an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber, constitutes a three chamber cylinder. This paper proposes a piecewise analytical model for the three-chamber cylinder based on its operating principle. Moreover, block diagram and transfer function model for the cylinder are achieved through a detailed analysis of continuity equations and orifice equations for the mass flow rate employing linearization techniques at a local equilibrium point. To justify the proposed transfer function model, an experimental rig is set up and an identification procedure dealing with experimental data measured is carried out by using [DENT. The conclusions show that both models can offer the ability to provide foundation for the further study of the dynamic characteristics of the three-chamber cylinder.
