Electrical characterisation of Cu(In, Ga)Se2 single crystals

Seebeck effect measurements as a function of temperature performed on n-type CuInSe2 in the range 77-350 K are reported. The experimental data have been analysed on the basis of an effective scattering parameter assuming the dominance of ionised impurities scattering at low temperatures and acoustic phonon scattering at higher temperatures. A quite satisfactory fit was then obtained. The analysis of the Seebeck effect for p-type CuGaSe2 single crystals in the high-temperature region yielded an effective hole mass estimate of 3.1m(0).
