We will present in this paper a numerical simulation of turbulent flames impinging onto a solid wall. We have used the LW-P model of combustion. The turbulent flow is modeled by a RANS (Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes) second order model. Application of this model to the case of stagnating turbulent flame close to a solid wall shows that the mean flame brush is predicted to be detached from the burner as observed and a good agreement is obtained between the calculated mean velocity along the centerline and the experiment.
