摘要
The effect of grain size (varying in the range 2.5 to 50 mum) on strength, fatigue and cavitation resistance of a high nitrogen austenitic stainless steel was studied. Hardness and tensile properties were evaluated and showed a Petch-Hall relationship with grain size in the fully analysed range. The fatigue behaviour was investigated for the high nitrogen steel and a standard AISI 304 steel. A poor influence of grain size was revealed and an increase of the cavitation resistance with grain refinement was observed.
