摘要：

The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between governance and the efficacy of public policies in Brazilian municipalities, considering the Child Mortality Rate, the Homicide Rate, the Poverty Ratio and the effects of spatial interaction between Brazilian municipalities. Spatial regression models have shown that there are spillover effects and that local governance has a negative and statistically significant impact on these indicators.
