Learning and managing eco-innovative practices: a case study in a Recycling Association

This article aims to describe management practices in a recycling association, emphasizing eco-innovative practices in this process. Understanding management practices in a recycling association brings contributions to the study of practices, as the members themselves work and manage the enterprise. Understanding eco-innovative practices helps actors to produce and reproduce environmental management practices in the field. To understand how these practices occur and are carried out, direct observation and participation of the researcher in the field were used, as well as the qualitative reading of the data, collected during 2017. The research contributes to reveal the management and echo practices innovation in the associative environment. The results show that the association is a place for knowledge and development of practices, which, in addition to guaranteeing the survival of its members, achieve relevant results from an environmental point of view.
