Theoretical study of the 2s2p4 4P resonance state in the photodetachment of C-

摘要
Photodetachment cross sections were calculated for the 2s(2)2p(3) S-4(o) state of C- by using the R-matrix method. Three channels, 2s(2)2p(2 3)P epsilon s, 2s(2)2p(2) P-3 epsilon d and 2s2p(3) S-5(o) epsilon p were taken into account. The resultant cross sections were compared with the experiments and other theoretical calculations. We found that the peak for the 2s2p(4) P-4 resonance state is located at 6.93 eV. Assuming the resonance formula given by Fano, a resonance energy of 6.6 eV and width of 1.4 eV were obtained.
