摘要
The main objective of this paper is to present the validation of numerical stress results of a railway tank wagon, by using experimental methods. Validation of the numerical results is done by comparison between numerical and experimental results in a certain measuring point. The numerical calculations were carried out using the finite element method, while the experimental tests were carried out using resistive strain gauges. The experimental results were compared with the theoretical ones, thus resulting a very good prediction of potentially dangerous areas. (c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
