摘要
This paper is intended to review all mechanisms and concepts that will improve the performance on object database. The framework for discussing performance can be built by considering the properties of object database and the measures that have been adopted for performance by other models, such as relational database model. The results of current research on this area are summarized and compared, and finally conclusions are made for future research. Keyword: object database, indexing, clustering, functional dependency, predicate calculus, database query optimization, caching.
