摘要
The surgical treatment of morbid obesity has been changed since the first effective procedure. The historical survey, however, demonstrate v-dearly that no single procedure can solve all problems associated with obesity. There are patients with very good success and long-term weight loss. But in superobese patients techniques with a combination of food restriction and malabsorption seem to enable a better long-term effect on body weight. In this way the history comes back to the beginning of bariatric surgery without a repetition of the classical malabsorptive procedures such as jejunoileostomy.
