Crystallization of lithium triborate LiB3O5 in the Li2O-B2O3-MoO3 system

摘要
Lithium triborate crystals are grown from the Li2O-B2O3-MoO3 system using solution-melt crystallization at spontaneous nucleation, seeded crystallization, and quenching. The Li2O-B2O3, B2O3-MoO3, and Li2MoO4-MoO3 binary systems framing the Li2O-B2O3-MoO3 ternary system are studied in the subliquidus region using the method of solid-phase reactions. The LiB3O5-MoO3 and LiB3O5-Li4Mo5O17 sections and the LiB3O5-Li4Mo5O17-MoO3 ternary system of this oxide system are also examined.
