This article is the result of the analysis of an experience developed in the Didactic: Teaching Pedagogical Work discipline, in the Pedagogy Course. The research theme focused on the triad: Education, Didactics and Pedagogy. It is a qualitative research of the action research type, whose objective was to analyze the concepts presented above, in the view of the adult with zero education, basic, middle and higher, in order to confront common sense views and scientific knowledge, building syntheses that reveal what the different subjects interviewed know about each concept, intertwining their views with what indicate scholars of the theme in question. The results point to the multiplicity of concepts. It is necessary to reaffirm, in the initial formation of teachers, the important role of education, the pedagogue and the didactic discipline, showing the relationship between these concepts, so that the student can consider pedagogy as theory and science of education, studying deeply the educational phenomenon, realizing its articulation with the other sciences of education. The work was valued by students who realized the importance of confronting common sense knowledge with scientific knowledge and that the concepts cannot be worked in a fragmented way in the pedagogy course. Students realized that common sense and scientific knowledge complement each other in expressing the elements of culture.
