摘要
This paper discusses factors that contribute to the development of eating disorders in Asian American women. We provide a Conceptual framework for understanding how Culture Interplays with risk factors at societal, familial, and individual levels. Because of the complex interplay of factors associated with the development of eating disorders in Asian American women, treatment efforts should target risk factors along each of the aforementioned domains. Clinical issues in treating Asian American women are discussed and treatment recommendations are provided. (c) 2007 by The Haworth Press, Inc. All rights reserved.
