摘要
This paper investigates the potential of RPG (role-playing games) forums as a learning resource to improve writing and reading skills, this study however is specifically writing focused. This investigation aims to replace oldfashioned creative writing activities with more innovative tools and therefore it tries to unite new technologies with a more hands on learning experience. To achieve this, the core study object, RPG forums, has been examined through a field research focusing on its reality -function, mechanics, user behavior, motivations, etc). Finally, based on the conclusions of the previous research, the advantages and possible disadvantages of this tool within the SFL classroom have been explained.
