摘要
The topic of climate change has so far received only limited attention in sport science even though sport facilities, sports mega-events and event tourism, amateur league play, as well as sportswear and sports nutrition cause high levels of carbon dioxide emissions. This contribution aims to highlight some of the connections between sports and climate change. In addition, it outlines a "climate agenda" for sport science in order to spark a much-needed debate about ways in which our discipline can contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.
