摘要
The article draws attention to the works of German Sadulaev, whose fiction provides a vivid example of postcolonial writing in post-Soviet literature. The analysis is focused on Sadulaev's early works, namely his short fiction collection la chechenets [I Am a Chechen] (2006) and the novel "Shalinskii Reid", [The Raid on Shali] (2010). Though the texts in question show all evidence of a postcolonial condition in accordance with the existing scholarship, both the protagonists and figure of the narrator in Sadulaev's writing are more complex than those of a former colonial subject, since the intertwinement of the post-Soviet and postcolonial conditions is the most important constitutive element of his fiction.
