摘要：
We examine theoretically the spin waves in a semi-infinite XY ferromagnet placed in an external magnetic field parallel to the surface via the Green's function formalism. The spectra of bulk and surface spin waves are obtained. It is shown that the surface of a semi-infinite XY ferromagnet supports surface spin waves with root dispersion law. However, the penetration depth of these waves is almost the same as for the Heisenberg model.
