摘要
In this paper, a modified indirect vector control (IVC) strategy is proposed for 3-phase wye-connected induction motor (WCIM) drives under the open-phase fault (OPF). It is shown that the 3-phase WCIM equations during the OPF consist of two balanced components. One of these components does not exist in the healthy WCIM equations, leading to speed and torque oscillations. In this paper, the oscillating component is forced to zero for IVC of the 3-phase WCIM during the OPF. In the proposed scheme, third-difference operator is used for the OPF detection. The modified IVC method can be used during healthy and OPF modes with minor modifications. Simulation and experimental results of the introduced technique are given, where the conventional IVC strategy and the proposed IVC method are compared. The obtained results confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed IVC system.
