摘要
Citation analysis is based on the assumption that use patterns are reflected in the citations. Frequently cited works are likely to be more valuable to a collection than those used less often. A comparison and analysis of citations from master's theses attempted to determine: 1) the type of material used by students for research; 2) the currency of the material; 3) any patterns of usage.
