Fabrication of polymer-converted carbon films containing Ag, Pd nanoparticles

摘要
Amorphous carbon films containing Ag and Pd nanoparticles have been prepared by heat-treatment of the precursors of poly(phenylcarbyne) polymer mixed with AgNO3 and Pd(NO3)(2) respectively, at 700degreesC in Ar atmosphere. The microstructure and morphology of the obtained nanocomposite films were investigated by means of Raman, XPS, XRD, and AFM. The analytic results show that heat-treatment of the precursors at 700degreesC causes the change of the polymer into amorphous carbon phase. Ag and Pd nanoparticles are well dispersed in the carbon matrix and the nanocomposite films exhibit smooth morphologies. The formation mechanism of the nanocomposite films is discussed as well.
