摘要：
Sugar beet production and sugar industry in China started in the year 1906. Sugar beet is mainly grown in the northeast and northwest of China. This paper reviews the outline of current situation of sugar beet production and the present predicament of sugar beet industry, and discusses the sustainable development of the industry.
