摘要
Molecular dynamics simulations and theoretical calculations are used to study the static structure and dynamic properties of the liquid alkaline earths near their melting points. Where possible, comparison with experiments lends support to the reliability of the potentials used. On the other hand, comparison between theory and simulation enables a discussion of the limitations of the theory and its possible improvements.
