摘要
A dual Left/right-hand circularly-polarized (LH/RH CP) antenna implemented using hedgehog waveguide is investigated and developed at 60-GHz. The hedgehog waveguide is employed as the host guiding structure to create a frequency-independent phase difference between the two orthogonal modes at the antenna aperture in order to obtain a wideband axial-ratio at the 60-GHz band from 57 to 64 GHz. The proposed technique provides a pure circularly-polarized (CP) operation over the entire operating frequency range through the frequency-independent triangular-shaped slot and phase adjustment using the hedgehog waveguide.
