摘要
The paper describes the main results of research activities that CESI RICERCA has carried out with reference to offshore wind plants for electricity production and their potential contribution to meeting Italy's energy needs. Particularly, three specific sectors or these activities are reported on: further validation of offshore wind maps starting from the current Wind Atlas of Italy by CESI RICERCA; evaluation of the offshore exploitable wind energy potential taking into account water depths versus available and future technologies; dynamic analysis of floating large-sized wind turbines as a possible option for deeper waters.
