摘要
Triphenylamine-pyridine derivatives, 4-vinylpyridine-4'-(N,N-diphenylamino)benzene (PPAB), tris[4-(4-pyridylethenyl)phenyl]amine (TPPA), 4-(N,N-diphenylamine)benzene-vinyl-1-methyl-pyridinium iodide (PBPI), were synthesized and characterized. Single photon excited fluorescence and three-photon excited fluorescence of the chromophores were studied. When pumped with 1310 nm femtosecond laser irradiation, chromophores PPAB, PBPI and TPPA showed strong three-photon upconversion fluorescence at 648, 625, 696 nm, respectively. The chromophores displayed large three-photon absorption and strong optical power limiting properties. Their three-photon absorption coefficients obtained by a nonlinear transmission method using a femtosecond Ti:sapphire are 1.91 x 10(-79), 3.46 x 10(-79), and 3.64 x 10(-79) cm(6).s(2), respectively.
